Cargo Boxes
Our Cargo Boxes are the ideal solution for people who need extra storage space for their gear and want to keep it secure and protected from the elements. A StowAway Cargo Box can be mounted on a StowAway steel frame, or in the bed of your pickup truck as a truck box. All StowAway boxes are molded from LLDPE, the same material used to mold white water kayaks, and are super impact resistant. We offer three Cargo Box models:MAX Cargo Box: our largest, most popular cargo box with 16 cubic feet of storage space. Comes fully equipped with a locking latch, taillights, wrap around reflectors and a drain plug for easy cleaning.
Standard Cargo Box: holds up to 12.5 cubic feet of storage, and comes fully equipped with safety and security features.
Basic Cargo Box: the same high quality construction and storage capacity as the standard cargo box at an unbeatable no-frills price.

A StowAway Cargo Box can be mounted to one of the following frames:
Swingaway frame: Our patented swingaway frame swings out to offer clear access to the rear of your vehicle. Works effectively with rear liftgates, single doors or dual doors and with almost all vehicle styles. Constructed with heavy steel tube with a built in six inch rise for ground clearance. Two sizes are available to fit either a 1.25" or 2" receiver hitch. Will clear most rear mounted spare tires or ladders.
Fixed frame: Our rugged fixed frame rises seven inches for ground clearance, and is available for either 1.25" or 2" hitch receivers. This is a good option if you do not require regular access to the rear of your vehicle.
Basic frame: Our most affordable frame, the Basic frame extends straight back (no rise) from your receiver to support our carrier. The Basic frame will accommodate most of our carriers or racks and is most suitable for vehicles with higher ground clearance. Offered for either 1.25" or 2" hitch receivers.
Spare tire frame: An extended length fixed frame that is compatible with Class III and above 2" trailer hitches and extends 9.5 inches beyond our other fixed frames to clear rear mounted spare tires or ladders.
Towing frame: A fixed frame compatible with Class III and above 2" trailer hitches that features a second hitch receiver that accommodates a cargo carrier, hitch rack or bike rack -- plus the ability to tow a boat, car or trailer
