Outlet Store Grade Guide V. 081607
Next to each item on the StowAway2 Outlet Store, you will see a “Grade” listed. A Product’s “Grade” refers to its overall condition. We have categorized our Outlet Store products into three “Grades.” The following is a description of these three “Grades.”
Grade 1 = Product is structurally sound and in good condition overall.
These units may be from one of our photo shoots, from a sales demonstration or an unused customer return. The carrier’s box might have light cosmetic scratches either inside or outside, but otherwise appears and functions as new. The carrier’s frame might have slight scratching at the end (where it is inserted into the hitch), but otherwise appears and functions as new.
Grade 2 = Product is structurally sound and in fair condition overall.
These units are primarily returns that have sustained aesthetic damage during shipping. The cargo box will have more significant scratching both inside and outside than a unit labeled “Grade 1.” The frame might have more significant scratching than a unit labeled “Grade 1.” . All Boxes and Frames will be refurbished to appear as close to new as possible; however, cosmetic imperfections may be evident.
Grade 3 = Product is structurally sound with heavy scratches inside and outside.
These units are primarily refurbished floor models or product returns. These units have sustained heavier aesthetic damage (deeper cuts or scratching) than those labeled “Grade 2” but will still function as new. The cargo box could have heavy scratching both inside and outside. The frame might have significant scratching or feature discontinued parts, while still functioning properly. All Boxes and Frames will be refurbished to appear as close to new as possible.
