We offer free shipping on all orders within the Continental United States. Items purchased through the StowAway website are typically processed and ready for shipment within 1-2 business days. For orders within the lower 48 states, we ship with either FedEx or USPS ground. Please call for available express options and applicable shipping charges. There is no sales tax in Oregon, so we do not charge sales tax on U.S. orders, regardless of your destination.

StowAway orders ship to Alaska via Span Alaska and generally take 7 to 10 business days. Shipping costs to Alaska generally range from $100 to $200, depending on the product. Orders ship to the closest port via barge. We generally ship smaller items to Alaska by U.S. Mail. I found the wheels necessary to move the carrier and mount around once the unit is removed. They are easy to mount to the base of the carrier using the nuts and bolts provided with the carrier as seem sturdy enough to support the unit as it is moved

Great product! We wanted something made in the USA, considered the Pakmule, but I have not mastered ratchet straps and didn't want to have to use tie downs. We drove through rain and contents stayed dry. We had 4 carry on suitcases stowed, with additional room, to tuck things. My 2022 Highlander, carried it with ease, couldn't tell it was back there. The swing away feature, is a must! Being able to pop the hatch on the vehicle made life easy. I was concerned about the carrier sticking out of the parking space, no problems with that. I actually had people approaching me, to learn about the Max 2 and am pretty sure I made a couple of sales. This is our first cargo carrier and I caught myself checking out others, driving down the road and am so happy, we went this route, instead of the tray type or roof top carriers. Several safety redundancies, which made me more comfortable using it, as compared to using ratchet straps.

Moving the StowAway 2 without the wheels is a back-breaking two-person chore. Buy the wheel kit, you will be happy you did.
I'm going to add a caster to the hitch side to make maneuvering the box around even easier.
